So we arrived yesterday, after 20 something hours of travelling. The trip went great, the children seemed to find something to do all the time, and all the flights where on schedule. We had to circle around Kathmandu for two hours because the pilot did not see the runway.
There where other flights that landed while we where circling, but we heard later that Qatar Air was a little stricter regarding seeing/not seeing the runway before landing. :) No problem for us, we got two extra hours of sleep, and landed safely.
Yesterday everyone was a little tired, but ok, and today after 12-14 hours of good sleep we all feel better. Filip felt a little quizy this morning, but seems to be doing much better now, after starting eating and drinking again.
Kathmandu traffic is something that has to be seen, if you are used to the traffic in Norway. You can see some examples of it on youtube, just search for traffic kathmandu. The kids thought that cows in the road was cool, and they quickly got used to everyone honking all the time.
More later, getting ready for barbecue with our new nice Norwegian neighbours.
